| Objective: To analyze the therapeutic effect of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) combined with air wave pressure therapy on apoplectic hemiplegia (AH), as well as its influences on limb function, balance function, etc. Methods: All 81 patients with AH were included and randomly grouped. The control group was given PNF, while the study group was given PNF combined with air wave pressure therapy. After 6 weeks of intervention, the limb function, balance function, exercise endurance, cerebral hemodynamics, and living ability were evaluated. Results: After treatment, the scores in the limb Fugl-Meyer assessment (FMA), motor function status scale (MSS), and Berg balance scale (BBS) in the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment (P<0.05), and the scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the 6-minute walk distance test (6 MWT), middle cerebral artery blood flow velocity (MCA-Vm), basilar artery blood flow velocity (BA-Vm), anterior cerebral artery blood flow velocity (ACA-Vm), and modified Barthel index (MBI) of the two groups were higher than those before treatment (P<0.05), and those in the study group were higher than in the control group (P<0.05). After treatment, the 10-meter walk test (10 MWT) level in the two groups was lower than that before treatment (P<0.05), and that in the study group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The combined treatment of PNF and air wave pressure therapy for AH patients has a prominent effect on the recovery of limb function. It can effectively improve the body’s balance ability, limb function, and exercise endurance, obviously enhance the patient’s self-care ability, and has a relatively ideal overall intervention effect. |
